Let’s not overclaim: currently consumers are still wary of buying an EV. 

 

Why? 

 

The number of miles you can drive on a single charge leaves drivers with “range
anxiety”.  Currently buying an EV is like buying a diesel car when your local petrol
stations don’t sell diesel. 

 

This is easily overcome with a national EV charging infrastructure. Interest in EVs
is a different story. 

 

A recent RAC study found that 20% of British motorists are planning’ or
‘considering’ buying an EV as their next car; that’s a potential half a million
sales per year just in the UK!
