The Background: |
Why go Electric now? |
Simply put, over 100 years ago, when cars began rolling off the production line, there
wasn't an electricity supply network. As a liquid, petrol was easily transported around the
world and therefore became the preferred fuel.
Today oil is becoming harder to source, refine and transport. The search for alternative
fuel technologies has become urgent. Millions have been poured into the development of
battery powered electric vehicles in recent years and this technology is coming to the fore
on an international stage.
An electricity supply network is no longer an obstacle in the vast majority of developed
nations, all we lack now is a 'plug' to recharge our vehicles as they travel around the
country.
Interest is there amongst consumers. Partnerships are emerging amongst local and
national communities. Car manufacturers are fast tracking EV mass production.
Government subsidies are in place to help get the market started.
Reuben Power's mission is to spearhead the charging infrastructure development to
help everything come together.
