Battery technology:

 

EV battery technology and range was the major hurdle to widespread roll out and use of
EVs during the last century. Technology and range however has come a long way over the
past ten years and some vehicles, such as the Tesla Roadster, can deliver up to 250 miles
per full charge.

 

Most EVs are unable to deliver this type of range, yet … but we don't expect that will
be an issue in the UK where the average car journey is less than 10 miles, even though
'range anxiety' will be overcome through the roll out of a national EV charging
infrastructure.
